Mel plays a vital role behind the scenes at Aesthetics, supporting the delivery of events through detailed coordination and preparation. Working closely with Keri and the wider team, she assists with accreditation, contracts, allocation sheets and the many moving parts that sit behind every successful event.
Mel explains “If the admin isn’t right, the event doesn’t run properly.”
Alongside her office-based role, Mel continues to work on events herself, bringing a unique dual perspective. From early morning starts to long days on-site, she remains closely connected to the fast-paced environment that defines the industry.
“I just love it,” she says. “Seeing people enjoying themselves, that’s what it’s all about. They’ve paid to be there, so it’s my job to make sure they have a great experience.”
Her approach is simple but powerful. From the moment guests arrive, her focus is entirely on them. “Once the doors open, that’s it. It’s about the people,” she says. “You’re there to make sure everything runs smoothly and that they enjoy every moment.”
Mel thrives on the energy and variety that events bring. No two days are ever the same, and that unpredictability is exactly what keeps her motivated. Whether she’s coordinating behind the scenes or working on-site, her focus remains consistent: delivering the best possible experience.
Outside of work, Mel enjoys spending time with her family and taking her grandchildren to football, combining her love of sport events with time together.
