As a proud Scotsman, Lorrie smiles at the occasions where heritage and teamwork have naturally come together. From attending a high-profile event at Lancaster House in London in full Highland dress to sitting surrounded by England fans at an England v Scotland international while Aesthetics delivered the hospitality, those moments still make him laugh.
At Lancaster House, with some of the most notable leaders in industry, finance and technology in attendance, he arrived in his kilt without hesitation. It felt right. In an impressive and formal setting, it added a little character to the otherwise standard black-tie room. Lee and Lorrie certainly made Aesthetics memorable.
The kilt made another appearance at England v Scotland. Aesthetics was staffing the hospitality for the match and, although Lorrie was attending as a guest, he came along early morning to meet with Lee and support the team. Seated in the hospitality section surrounded by England fans, his Scottish colours sparked plenty of good-natured conversation. It was another example of how personality and professionalism can comfortably sit side by side.
He also reflects with pride on completing the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours alongside Lee, raising thousands of pounds for a children’s charity. That challenge was about resilience and backing each other all the way to the finish.
“There’s a personal pride from everyone in what this business does,” he says. “Whether it’s on a mountain, in a boardroom or at a global event, people show up for each other and for their clients, whatever it takes to deliver.”
