For Kelly, taking responsibility for Aesthetics’ Coventry City account has a significance that goes far beyond work.
Her grandfather was a lifelong Coventry City supporter. He held a season ticket, travelled to Wembley to see the club’s famous 1987 FA Cup victory and made sure Kelly and her sister grew up with Coventry City shirts of their own. His connection to the club remained an important part of family life throughout the years.
When he passed away, the family celebrated that connection at his funeral, with Coventry City shirts, sky blue and white flowers and a club flag among the personal touches chosen to remember him.
Just a few months later, Kelly found herself taking responsibility for the Coventry City contract at Aesthetics.
With the club now back in the Premier League, there is something particularly special about being involved in this new chapter. The connection gives Kelly a very personal reminder of her grandfather and the club he loved, while allowing her to be part of a story that meant so much to him.
“It feels really significant,” she says. “It’s a big deal professionally, but on a personal level it means so much more.”
