Royal Ascot

2022 onwards

Objective

Create a premium guest experience within the Royal Enclosure through highly trained hospitality staff tailored to the unique requirements, clientele and atmosphere of each hospitality area.

Delivery

Royal Ascot is one of the UK’s most famous sporting and social events – a mix of top-tier horse racing, fashion, and royal tradition. This sought after event is held every June at Ascot Racecourse close to Windsor Castle, runs for 5 days (Tuesday to Saturday), was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne and is attended by members of the British Royal Family each day. The Aesthetics team arrive on-site the day before opening for staff training to ensure they are fully prepared and briefed to greet and look after guests visiting the Royal Enclosure. You will find our team of 40 staff spread across the Royal Enclosure in the VE Veranda (Chanel Enclosure), The Windsor, Terrace Bar, Silks Lawn Marquee, PP Bandstand, 1768 by James, Maison 1743, The Garden Club, Queue Management and offering general support across the Royal Enclosure. Each team member is allocated in the first instance if they have worked in that area in previous years, the offering and clientele in that area, and the hours required. E.g. shifts
run between 6 and 12 hours and as all staff are local transport needs to be taken into consideration during this extremely busy event. The staffing requirement is quite varied, the Chanel enclosure requires models who can converse and serve guests and on the other end of the spectrum we have queue management staff who need to be
polite, friendly, informative, can think on their feet quickly should an incident arise and who can also be forceful if required.
