Brent joined Aesthetics in 2007, not long after moving from South Africa to the UK. Almost two decades later, he is Technical Director and has been central to the continued development of Connect, the company’s bespoke event management system that underpins almost everything Aesthetics does.
“Connect has been shaped around Aesthetics’ processes, drawing on Lee, Keri, and the team’s extensive industry knowledge built up over decades,” Brent explains. “It covers everything, from recruiting and vetting event staff to managing schedules, payroll, invoicing, and client reporting. It is now on its third iteration, continually refined to streamline processes and make things more efficient.”
Although his role is largely behind the scenes, Brent’s work is essential to Aesthetics’ ability to manage thousands of staff across hundreds of events each year. He supports the team with data, audits, and system improvements to make sure they can deliver at scale.
Outside of work, Brent is a family man and an adventurer. He has two children, one a keen horse rider he proudly supports, and when he can, he heads off on his motorbike for camping trips into the Scottish Highlands. He is also a passionate rugby fan, a regular at Glasgow Warriors games, and loyal to both Scotland and his home country of South Africa.
